Fall is one of the best times to get outside and enjoy the many local festivals that Toronto has to offer! From appreciating incredible cinema to celebrating local artists and more, there are plenty of things to do this fall.
Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)
If you’re a cinema buff, you have to check out the Toronto International Film Festival from Sept. 8-18 at TIFF Bell Lightbox. This year’s lineup is extensive and includes some movies that have been generating a ton of buzz, like “My Policeman,” “The Woman King,” and “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.” If you can manage to snag tickets or even just head downtown, you might get a glimpse of some big-name stars walking the red carpet!
Redpath Waterfront Festival
For a more laid-back experience, consider visiting the 2022 Redpath Waterfront Festival from Sept. 17-18. Located on the Toronto Waterfront, this festival includes live entertainment on two stages, local food trucks, performance art and installations, and a replica of Theodore TOO Tugboat from the popular children’s show “Theodore Tugboat.”
Toronto International BuskerFest
To appreciate the quirkiness and unique skills of all kinds of performers, attend the Toronto International BuskerFest from Sept. 2-5 at Woodbine Park. Here, you’ll see aerialists, magic shows and mentalism, a museum of illusions, a hula hoop dance party, and more. There will also be a beer garden for adults as well as a family fun zone for all ages. The best part? This event raises money for Epilepsy Toronto!
Our team at Avenue Nissan is always excited when fall comes around because we can enjoy these unique Toronto festivals. We hope to see you soon!
