On the outside, the Altima receives a new Ethos Gray premium colour, which joins the six previously available options. But what’s most noticeable on the 2023 Altima is the new front fascia that showcases the updated Nissan V-Motion grille with a black chrome finish.
Next to that new grille are new standard LED headlights that have integrated turn signals within the daytime running lights. As you move to the back, you’ll find an available single panel moonroof and the expressive rear taillight design.
Technology has been updated for the new Nissan Altima as well. Available features include a large 12.3-inch HD colour display with multi-touch control, wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, the Nissan Door-to-Door Navigation system, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a wireless charging pad. All of those amenities are standard on SR Premium and Platinum grades.
The 2023 Nissan Altima is expected to be available soon here at Avenue Nissan in Toronto, Ontario. Contact our team or visit us to learn more about reserving your model!

The best way to cool the interior of your car is to let the hot air out first. Before you start driving, roll the windows down a bit. Drive for a couple of minutes with them down and then turn the air conditioning on to get the cool flow started. Don’t forget to roll up the windows, though!
Check the filter
Much like your car’s oil, air goes through a filter to work properly. This filter is typically located behind the glove box and also blocks odors from entering the cabin. Be sure to have the air filter checked when you visit us at Avenue Nissan to ensure you’re getting clean, cool air.
Don’t forget the fresh air vent
Your car’s air conditioning system has various features — one of which is the “fresh air vent” that allows the air from outside the vehicle to enter the cabin. Using this every so often is great for freshening up the interior. But be sure to turn on the recirculation button when you’re behind a diesel truck to avoid inhaling those fumes.
The all-electric Nissan LEAF has been a solid choice for eco-conscious drivers for more than 10 years. This iconic vehicle is getting some upgrades for the 2023 model year, with significant changes to its exterior as well as updates to its interior and safety systems.
The new Nissan LEAF arrives with a refreshed grille as well as bumper molding and headlights that have black inner accents. The Nissan badge in the centre of the grille also lights up to further enhance the car’s appeal. Another aesthetic upgrade comes in the form of bold 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels that are standard. Outside of looks, the LEAF’s rear spoiler, rear under diffuser, and tire deflectors have all been modified for improved aerodynamics.
Inside, the steering wheel features the latest Nissan logo. The vehicle start-up video on the instrument panel screen has also been updated on the 2023 LEAF. Black cloth and gloss black accents are standard on the SV and SV PLUS trims. But on the LEAF SL PLUS model, you’ll find standard leather seats.
Nissan’s ProPILOT Assist is standard on the LEAF for 2023. This driver-assist system combines Intelligent Cruise Control with steering assist technologies to add extra peace of mind behind the wheel.

As Nissan looks to the future, the brand is always finding ways to make driving more enjoyable. This encompasses both comfort and driving dynamics. The new Nissan CMF-EV platform, which debuted on the all-new ARIYA EV, is an example of this.
Commonly referred to as a “magic flying carpet” by Nissan engineers, this platform allows the cabin of a vehicle to transform into a lounge-like area. This is instantly noticeable in the new ARIYA, which features a wide and open design with Zero Gravity front seats.
It’s not just about opening up the cabin with the CMF-EV platform, though. This system is adaptable to various powertrains, including the state-of-the-art e-4ORCE drivetrain technology. That all-wheel control technology provides an ideal balance of power and balance for a smooth yet exhilarating drive.
To put it to the test, Nissan released a video where a motorized server tray with e-4ORCE technology swiftly delivered bowls of ramen with no spills. Thanks to its braking performance and power output management, the server tray reduced sloshing when arriving in front of customers.
While you probably won’t be driving around with hot soup in your new Nissan, that test was a unique way of showcasing the brand’s innovation. Our team at Avenue Nissan in Toronto, Ontario, is excited to see more smart developments from the Nissan brand in the coming years!
Now that the weather is warming up in Toronto, it’s a great time to head outdoors for some springtime fun! Here are some of our top picks for things to do this spring.
High Park Cherry Blossoms
You don’t have to travel to Japan to view the beauty of the Sakura, or cherry blossom, tree. Viewing these gorgeous trees is a Toronto tradition and you can see them in a variety of parks in the area during spring. Try stopping by Edwards Gardens, just 6km from our location, to see them for yourself.
If you want to spend a weekend shopping and enjoying delicious food, consider stopping by Kensington Market. Right in the heart of downtown, you’ll find various vendors offering antiquities, unique art, and diverse food options. The area is free to walk around, but it’s always great to give back to the local community by supporting these shops, too.
Historical Building Walking Tour
Through the use of the “GPSmyCity: Walks in 1K+ Cities” mobile app, you can easily go on a self-guided tour of Toronto. Visit some of the city’s top historical sights like the Campbell House Museum, Old City Hall, St. James Anglican Cathedral, and more.
Another great way to spend a spring day is browsing our vehicle selection at Avenue Nissan and taking one of them for a test drive. Contact our team to learn more about how you can do this!
With winter finally winding down, it’s time to remove all of the dirt and grime from your vehicle. Our team at Avenue Nissan put together the following spring cleaning tips for your car.
Start on the exterior
If you plan on washing the outside of your car by yourself (instead of going to an automatic wash), start from the top and work your way down. But before you rinse the whole vehicle, scrub the tires and rims. When it’s time to dry, use a clean microfibre towel so you don’t scratch the paint.
Get rid of trash
Once you move inside, gather any pieces of trash and clutter into a trash bag. Consider finding new homes for non-essential items that have made their way into your vehicle. Don’t forget to look under the seats and floor mats as well as in the trunk.
Cleaning the interior should consist of wiping down all surfaces with appropriate materials. If you have leather seats, be sure to use a leather cleaning solution that won’t harm them. Wipe down everything, including the dash, steering wheel, air vents, centre console, gear shifter, and door handles. Don’t forget the inside of the windows, too!
Another great way to keep your car in great shape as we head into a new season is to ensure that you’re staying on top of its maintenance schedule. Stop by Avenue Nissan in Toronto, ON for a routine check-up and other helpful services.
Nissan recently announced Ambition 2030 — its vision of becoming a more sustainable company that provides stylish, efficient vehicles across the globe. As a result, and due to customer demand, Nissan plans to introduce 15 new EVs by 2030.
“We are proud of our long track record of innovation, and of our role in delivering the EV revolution. With our new ambition, we continue to take the lead in accelerating the natural shift to EVs by creating customer pull through an attractive proposition by driving excitement, enabling adoption and creating a cleaner world,” said Nissan COO Ashwani Gupta.
Along with creating new vehicles, Nissan plans on reducing costs for battery production. In addition to that, Nissan will increase mobility options by offering its advanced driver-assistance technologies to more consumers. The goal is to expand ProPILOT™ technology to more than 2.5 million vehicles by fiscal year 2026.
Nissan has always been a leader when it comes to innovative technology in its vehicles. The Rogue has been a solid part of the Nissan lineup for 15 years. Nissan recently unveiled the third generation of the popular SUV in 2020, featuring a bold new design and exciting features. For 2022, the Nissan Rogue receives even more updates.
“As the Nissan NEXT transformation continues, the 2022 Nissan Rogue’s all-new powertrain is a proof point of the company’s commitment to investing in its lineup and improving the company’s product, brand and sales power in North America,” said Steve Milette, President of Nissan Canada Inc.
Thanks to Nissan’s new 1.5-litre VC-Turbo engine, the 2022 Rogue is more powerful than ever. This new engine builds on the initial 2.0-litre version of the VC-Turbo that Nissan pioneered in 2019 and improved on its acceleration, fuel economy, and emissions.
Also helping the new Rogue become more fuel efficient is the new generation Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission with Manual Mode. With a new control valve system and twin oil pump system, the upgraded CVT offers a smoother drive and enhanced fuel economy — as low as 6.7 L/100 km on the highway on certain models.

When it comes to buying winter tires, look for a specific logo that has a mountain with a snowflake inside of it. This symbol indicates that the tires qualify as “winter tires” in Canada, according to Transport Canada. However, be sure that you don’t purchase studded snow tires, as those are illegal to use in Toronto and are only acceptable in Northern Ontario during certain months.
Maintaining winter tires
Just like the standard all-season tires on your vehicle, it’s vital that you maintain winter tires, too. This includes checking the air pressure to ensure that the tires are performing well and are providing optimal traction. You’ll also want to check the tires via the “toonie test” to see if the tread depth is acceptable for safe driving.
Here at Avenue Nissan, we have a wide selection of winter tires available for purchase. Our team can help you pick them out and install them for you, making the entire process incredibly convenient. Contact us at (416) 783-3303 for additional information.
